Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning Contractors in Deerfield Street, NJ

Deerfield Street, NJ is otherwise known as Deerfield, NJ and is located in Upper Deerfield Township, NJ. In 1725 a man named Benjamin Davis bought land known only as “east of the upper reaches of the Cohansey River”. He bought one thousand acres from John Fenwick, who held the land grant, as well as purchased the same land from the Lenni Lenape People who were inhabiting it at the time. Davis is responsible for naming Deerfield Street.

In 1748 Deerfield Township was one of the original 104 townships in New Jersey, formed on the same day that Cumberland county was formed, but was considered only a precinct until 1798 when it had its official incorporation.

The early settlers are known to have had a close relationship to the native people here, and in the older section of the cemetery, you can still visit the graves of some Lenni Lenape buried along with the pioneers. The settlers built log cabins, and later in 1732, they built a log school house.

Quickly the town outgrew the little schoolhouse and it was replaced by a larger version, a Quaker Meeting House, attended by Deerfield and Greenwich residents. Again the community outgrew it and it was rebuilt as a Presbyterian Church in 1771, which still stands. Today the Presbyterian Parish of Deerfield Street claims to be fresh and traditional but remembers the long history and the “stern” ways of the Puritan Calvinists who started Deerfield.

The Beth Hillel Synagogue is another landmark in Deerfield Street. It was built in 1901 and was listed in the national registry of historic places in 1978. Deerfield Street is a community built on good values. Hutchinson’s Plumbers and HVAC contractors like to provide the best services to the families here and keep them comfortable at home.

Did you know with every degree you lower the thermostat in the winter, you will save 3% on your HVAC energy usage?

Turning down your heating when your family is out of the house for more than four hours will lower your bills. However, heat pump systems require staying at a constant temperature, so be sure to ask which type you have before you turn down the thermostat. If it is possible that the temperature will drop in the night, never turn the heating off. This is because your pipes could freeze, and even though our expert contractors can help, that’s the type of unfortunate call that our services try to prevent.

We’d rather get a lifetime of healthy home calls than to see your family suffer through an emergency. Our plumbing and HVAC experts will make sure you’re safe and ready for the seasons. That goes for maintenance on your air conditioning too. Our local services are expertly better. Give us a call!
