Brigantine, NJ, is a beautiful island bounded by ocean, inlets and waterways. Part of the William Forsythe Wildlife Refuge, this scenic town is home to a wide array of wildlife, including the many barrier island red foxes that roam the area, and is popular for birdwatching in its wetlands and woodlands.
The name “Brigantine” came from a type of 1600s ship, perhaps one of the first of over three hundred vessels wrecked on the notorious offshore shoals during a two hundred year period. The legendary pirate, Captain William Kidd, is said to have buried treasure under Brigantine Beach sand, which has never been found.
A found treasure of the environmentally aware residents of Brigantine is Hutchinson Plumbing Heating Cooling and the “Expertly Better” HVAC services that it has delivered to this beach town throughout the years.
