As LADACIN Network’s “go to” energy services and HVAC provider for over a decade, Hutchinson has put moneysaving solutions, like New Jersey’s Clean Energy Direct Install Program, into place for the Monmouth and Ocean County-based nonprofit. The most recent work request came from Operation Life, one of LADACIN Network’s nine residential facilities, that offers barrier-free, fully accessible housing for people aged 21 years and older who have developmental and/or multiple physical disabilities. The problem: all the HVAC units in the 25,000 square foot facility were on their last legs; plus the boiler and domestic hot water heating systems needed to be replaced.

Direct Install to the rescue

Once again, it was apparent that New Jersey’s Clean Energy Direct Install program was the ideal solution. As a participating contractor for Direct Install, Hutchinson has outfitted LADACIN with Direct Install energy efficiency upgrades over the years. Through Direct Install, Hutchinson upgraded the six HVAC units to high-efficiency units and replaced all exterior metal halide lighting with high efficiency exterior and interior LED lighting. The LED lighting provides a superior lighting output and reduces maintenance since LED has a much longer life span.
